    Little rubber feet

    Anyone know where I can get the little rubber bumpers that go on the bottom of the 17X? I lost one and the computer wobbles too much.

    um...i got the same problem, called dell tech support and them came to replace the WHOLE CHASSIS - -!... just because the rubber foot are the part of chassis...

    I think someone has asked this before, and from what I remember, Dell was "technically" correct in replacing the entire case. They don't have a separate part number for just the rubber feet, they're counted as being a component of the case.

    Depending on how bad the issue is, you may be able to get away with the type of self-adhesive foam tape you can buy for stopping draughts around doors. I've got some at home that's around 1/3 inch (or 8mm) thick, which would just need to be cut down to size to fit the hole.

    Replacing the whole chassis sounds like a Dell solution to a simple problem. I guess I will make one if I can't find the one that's missing.

    I reenforced mine before getting the problem with epoxy. From the inside you can see were the feet attach. Sort of a plastic rivot that has been melted. I covered the area with the epoxy and it not only did it sure it up, the feet don't feel loose or have any wobble.
