Does anyone have any idea where the PCH is on the R3? The reason I ask is I recently updated to the latest version of HWiNFO and I noticed a new reading titled "Intel PCH" and the temps are consistently quite high (65C ~ 73C) even when idling with the cores in the high 30's to low 40's. I did some searching but I couldn't find any mention of where the chipset is. Although the developer of HWiNFO has expressed doubts on the relevance/accuracy of the value reported, I'd still like to figure out if my chipset is overheating or isn't getting sufficient cooling.

    Thanks!

See the attached photo. Your PCH should be on the top side of the motherboard underneath all that black tape. It should be a little green square differently colored than the rest of the motherboard. I circled it in yellow so it would stand out more in the photo for you.

    Awesome! Thanks for that. +rep
I'll have to tear it down and see what that's all about. I estimate it should be just beneath the keyboard.
