I'm now stuck between these 3 mice. Which one has better comfort, and better performance? I will be using it for gaming, and normal browsing. I can only order from Dell, sadly. It's cause I'm using 64 dollars in gift certificates from them, so I'm stuck between these 3 or whatever else is there. I want something nice looking, feels great and performs amazing with games. I don't want something convoluted.

The Alienware TactX mouse is a rebranded Logitech G9x, but the G9x has a weight system. I have the G9x myself and it is a great mouse.

bigtonyman Desktop Powa!!!
Wonder if dell will be carrying the newest revision of the G700 soon. I'd definitely look at the G700s if you get a chance as it has been redone.

Having owned both the G700 and the Performance MX:
The G700 has all the extra programmable buttons and you can customise the DPI on the fly (I've never felt the need). I play MMOs so it's handy being able to map some common functions / macros etc. to one of the extra mouse buttons. Battery life isn't stellar on this mouse when though - depending on DPI setting and the length of your usage it could be a couple of days before needing to be plugged in again to charge. You can also create separate profiles for different games or applications (i.e. different button mappings / macros)
I found the Performance MX feels better in the hand and is more comfortable. Battery life is quite decent too. I use the MX at work now and the G700 at home but the latter wasn't an essential upgrade for my needs.
With both you can use them as a wireless mouse but just plug in the micro USB cable at the front when battery is running low with no need to worry about swapping batteries etc. The Logitech SetPoint software also lets you customise the buttons on both mice.
Can't comment on the TactX other than it is something that I crossed off my list early on as it didn't appeal to me.
If you're using it for gaming and want the greater flexibility and options for customisation I would suggest the G700. If you can though, walk into a physical store and pick both of them up to see the difference for yourself. -

Definitely due for an upgrade then?
Yes, the G700 is still comfortable - I would just rate the MX ahead in that department. In everything else I'd say the G700 is my preference. -
Thanks, I ordered it
I'll let you know when it arrives. If not, I'm gonna not give a crap about the reviews and go for the Mamba.
