    Hello guy, i am thinking of buying some new headset :) I was wondering, does my laptop supports 7.1 surround or not? In the alienware website says

    Integrated Analog 5.1 Surround Audio Support
    Integrated Digital 7.1 Surround Audio Support (via SPDIF or HDMI 1.4)

    Can anyone help me and tell me if my m17x r3 supports 7.1 surround for Logitech G930?

    In essence, the G930's are headphones and a usb sound card all in one...so it doesn't matter what the specs are on the computer you are using them on bc the headphones will generate/emulate 7.1 surround sound on their own.

    I have also one G930, Its the best sound thing for games. :eek:
    As said, it has own 7+1 soundcard. So it doesnt matter, what any computer have for soundcard.
    BTW: there are 2 version of software. from tha CD, 1.000.275, and there is newer version, 1.000.364.

    Yes, I love my G930 2! 7.1 sound really works.

    If you have problems with the driver, first thing to try is to first start the driver before connecting the dongle. It took me a long time before I figured that out XD.
