not sure if it would help but im planning on upgrading my laptop to an r2 by replacing the mobo. as far as i know, the best cpu u can get for an r2 is 940xm. the best gpu would either be 7970m or 680m. u cant run sli or xfire on a 240w psu with a dual 7970m or 680m. i think u can run sli 660m with a 240w psu, but im not quite sure about it. u might be able to upgrade ur wifi card to killer wireless-n 1103, if u really want to. aside from those an ssd would be a good upgrade.

Ok, I would like the sli capability. as it is a nvidia i would prob stick to the 660m, will look into that. with a ssd drive upgrade. As my current config is (2) 500gb sata drives in RAID as (1) would i be able to image over the crrent programs and stuff onto the ssd. i really dont want to loose my data or programs at all.

only thing i can think of is to back up ur files on a external hd. then install windows on ssd. then restore the back up files.

Upgrade the cpu to a 920xm or 940xm. And yeah. You can do 6970 CFX with a single 240 watt PSU. You can't do 6990 CFX though with one.

Yeah, you can use an image backup software(such as paragon or acronis) to avoid an OSRI.
