    Hello all,

I have had my M17X for about a week and my only issue is the battery seems to be loose. Is this a normal issue with this laptop? The front of the battery seems to droop about 1-2mm. It does not affect the usage of the laptop, but it is a minor annoyance.

    Thanks

Yea mine is a bit loose as well. If it really annoys you, you could tape a piece of card board to the bottom of the battery so the fit is tighter. Just an inexpensive fix. ;)

Mine's loose too. It doesn't ever affect my computer though. It's never just shut off on me.

It has shut off on me a few times, if there is a slight bump to the laptop....it is annoying...

See the face expression of my avatar? That is how I feel about it...

It makes me feel better that other people are having the same issue, but I do not see how some would have it and others not. It seems to be the way the mold was done. I think I am ok with it since it has not shut my computer off and it spends 90% of it's life sitting on a cooling pad plugged in. My buddy should have his this week, so if his has the same issue I will just let it go. I am not even sure what the return policy would be. I would hate to send it back and get a refurb returned to me that could have other issues. If I returned for credit only I bet there would be a restock plus the price on I got mine at is no longer available.

I just tried the fix that was posted by aznpos531 and it works great. It also makes the battery much easier to take out.

    Thanks
