I am playing WoW and I am getting a random FPS of 3-6 with all my settings on high I have a M17x-R2 with a 5870 Single and a 620m I7. All addons turned off 226 ms which is low for my server and location. I also receive a regular latency in Counter-Strike: Source and get a low average fps of 100...Drivers up to date...

Is it for a second or through out? Check stealth mode if it's applied.

Isn't that for M15x? My M17x asks if I wanted to turn it on rather then getting the glow of the speedometer. Either way, press the top right button that looks like a speedometer.

Check the drivers and make sure they are current and functioning. It sounds like the generic 640 drivers are running.

I am in alot of online games Check and see if there a defrag program for the game. Not the Hard drive. Like for Lord of the Rings online on there Techsupport page there a datdefrag which downloaded and installed it take about 15 Mins the game run better. Work really well with older computers with slower hard drives.

*Please Note do not use this type of program with SSD drive (Solid State Drives)*

I have the same issue. Any news or solution? Also the fan never seems to start up... And the cpu is only using between 11 and 33 percent. It is like the machine does not acknowledge the workload or something. Could really need some help here.

Anyone running the i7 should add this to their config file

    SET processAffinityMask "255"

Just add it to the end and save it, open in wordpad ofc.

If shadows are on High, turn them to a notch above low and then try. That takes a lot of processing. Where did you do you test at? Dal?

just a quickie i had the same problem, and i thought my stealth mode was not on either..... when you press it and it says access stealth mode that in fact is not changing anything, you have to access it and then disable or enable it.

as that is why mine was slow, why its their in the firstplace is a pain.

The reason its there in the first place is because of people who use it for other functions other then gaming, like at work, at school, and/or on the go like a bus or a train. Im a student and when im not gaming I dont need the full power of the hardware eating my battery to death. Stick it on stealth mode and get extended battery life.

I did try that and I have also check my system in and out of stealth mode with HWiNFO 32 and noticed that my system was not in stealth mode as the CPU speed drops to like the halve in stealth mode. All I can say is that my system is working perfectly with other games. I guess that the server I play on is having major issues at present time.

The one Dell had pre-installed. But the thing is that my driver had no issue for like 2 and a halve weeks ago. This whole incident with low fps started after the maintenance. Also we are several people on the wow forum who had this issue on that server...
