Well I am having Dell/AW send out a new power supply as they sent me the wrong brick. They are also sending a new battery too which is nice. I have a refurb i7 920 and CF 5870.

I am running on only the brick they supplied which is giving it power. But when I play a game, it is dreadfully slow. I tried hitting the stealth button and it said that it was already running on "low power." Is this a power supply issue? I downloaded CCC from AMD and installed it but cannot find the icon to launch the control panel? Anyone know how to troublehsoot that? I am used to the Nvidia control panels and on my new notebook with windows 7...i cant find anything related to checking CF and making changes to the system.

Right click on the desktop to access the CCC control panel - it should be in the menu.

Also to change your power plan you can access it using command centre (the planet Saturn icon on your touch keys). I usually keep my plan on "High" since its always plugged into the mains

If you cant access these options then go to Dell support and install all the latest drivers - you can get AMD 11.1 URL on another thread on the main page of this sub forum.

OK i will try. I did right click and there is no option. I am wondering if I am running low power due to the PS unit they supplied and are replacing.

Try installing the new AMD drivers - if it installed properly there should be an icon in your start menu.

The power plan should be in command centre or go here Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Power Options

Ok i downloaded the new CCC and am installing the new display driver as well. In the CCC (using advanced view) I cant select a GPU to check and diagnose any crossfire problems? It is all blank? Anyone have that issue?

Well i have updated my bios, AMD CCC and display drivers to get the same C:SS benchmark score of 60FPS! Despite everything being set to "performance" I get a message when i hit the stealth saying that it is already in "low performance mode." I have to think this is because of the power supply? Hopefully I get it in the next day or two because I clearly can't play any games. Oh well..it's the journey and not the destination so they say :)

edit: after speaking with the rep he said that the Delta PS should still allow you to game with normal framerates and he does not know why it says "low power mode" when everything is set to "high performance." Anyone have any insight into this issue?

    POWER SUPPLY ISSUE.

Sorry, but a lot of these are coming out lately.
You got the 210W power supply when you need the 240W one.
This will cause your system to run in "low power mode"
I think some of the older bios' let you run in "full power" mode with the 210W but they had a host of other problems so now you need to have the 240W to correctly use your system.

Once you get the 240W you should be fine (hit the button to check again).
