Perhaps it's because you have a 660m. It's not that powerful of a GPU and from what I see, Tera has some good graphics for an mmo. Try reducing some of the graphic settings from high and see how much your FPS changes. Also, it may be because there is too much going on the screen. Try adjusting how many characters appear on screen.

If you can afford it, you should upgrade your GPU. I'm running a 7970m and I average about 60-70 FPS. The lowest I see is about mid 40s if I'm in a populated area. The highest I've seen is around 90-100.

Make sure that it's the 660m running and not the built in graphics. I remember loading Tera a month ago and for some reason the switchable graphics was on and it looked like crap. Changed it back to the GPU and it fixed it.

This game is poorly optimized and its very cpu intensive. There are couple things that u can do with game cfg files which can increase performance a little bit just ask google.

Agreed with the above. Optimus sometimes doesn't like to switch properly. When I had my 580m, I was getting frustrated that some games would switch while others wouldn't. I ended up turning off the switching in the BIOS and that helped with gaming, but not with battery. But who runs these laptops off battery while gaming?
