    Hi friends.
Lastnight i format my laptop trying o fixing some things, but now, i think i screw it
Being honet i dint run any benchmark before format, so i can make a fair comparission; anyway, i download and install all the drivers from Dell support page, and, by external source i got the Ati CCC 10.6 (my specs are in my signature if you need them); i did install it and reboot and this is sucessfully installed, but, when i test the FPS using fraps i got very bad FPS rate while gameplay on Left 4 Dead 2, this was 24 -30 FPS !!; thats really sad; i dont know exactly what i must do or if i can get better FPS.

I dont have idea how to configure right the CCC, i never use ATI before, also, i dont know if i should uninstall the 10.6 ccc and install another (and how to complete remove the 10.6 in case i have to do); sorry for came with troubles and no solutions by now, thanks so much in advance

there's a whole thread about issues arising from forcing 10.6's to work and can be found on the 2nd or third page of this forum, or by using the search feature. However, to take a guess I'd say you're experiencing the clock throttling issue, and/or are in stealth mode.

    Thanks for reply.
About the Steahlt mode, im not . . im totally sure of it, i am connected to the energy source and when i press the button this say: Stealht mode has being detected, press yes to enable or not to disable, so, i press no, i guess im not on Stealth mode.

I made anoter clean installation of windows (this time ultimate), i have reinstalled all the drivers and this time i've install the ATI CCC 10.6, seems to have not problems with this, i didnt test this on games but the rest on the behavior seems to be ok; i need to know how to set up the best 3d and power performance to the games, is that possible ? . . . .

I will do now the benchmarks to see if my machines is ok .. . . By the way, how can i know if i got the throttling issue, is there a way to solve it ? Thanks for all
