I posted a few days ago about the repeating "a" keystroke (thanks Mr. Fox for yoru reply, I just saw it). Some other problems started popping up after that, and long story short, I thought maybe flashing the BIOS to the .29 BIOS from B14 might help. I read somewhere there was improved support for Quad-Core CPU's. Long story short, I attempted the flash, and bricked the laptop. Black screen at startup, classic bad BIOS. Basically, I'm stupid and impatient and got too overconfident with my computer abilities.
So, here is my question. I am trying the Phoenix BIOS Recovery Method listed HERE. I have tried the method using a bootable USB drive, and a USB floppy. I have tried every variation I have found online and every port on the laptop for the USB. When I turn on the computer, it does not seem to enter recovery mode, as the USB floppy has no activity. I have tried both keypress combinations (Fn+B and Win+B).
Any help would be appreciated. I realize I may just need to get a new mobo, but that is expensive and I don't exactly have the chops to replace it.

Hopefully I understand what you are trying to do... Your thread has no posts yet, so I'll give it a shot.
I've heard of people putting in another CPU to reset the BIOS. After starting it up once, the BIOS should be completely reset. You can probably buy one (cheap) off eBay. It can be any Haswell CPU (4700MQ, 4710MQ, 4800MQ, 4810MQ, etc.). I've never done this myself (never had to). If I'm missing something or mistaken, please chime in, anyone.
