Looking to ordering a Laptop here in the next few days. If I order with the SSD option can I add another later. If so can it be set up in RAID 0 as well? Thanks for the info. Or should I just go with a Regular and upgrade later?

I'd go with the regular and upgrade later. It'd probably be cheaper, and installing new hard drives on the R3 is very easy. It also comes with an extra hard drive caddy in the second bay :)

It does, however there have been reports that it not coming :/ and when trying to get the part it was a great hassle.

Not saying it will happen, but just saying that it could...

I wouldnt go for a RAID 0 with 2 SSDs. On one hand you have one 3GB Sata Port (the other is 6GB), and on the other hand trim is still not support in RAID.

Some people here, including me, have a fast SSD (ie Vertex 3) for Windows in the fast Sata Port and a regular big HDD for files and such.

I just got 2x750GB and will get rid of one. That way I don't have to mess with it. Virtually free as I didn't want any other upgrade and it pushed me from 10% to 15% off which actually dropped the price.

If you order with the Dual SSD are both 6Gsata Ports? If not whats the point of having the dual SSD's? One in the faster port makes seens like you stated.
