I just ordered my m17 last week, I have a few questions regarding my order.

1.With new machine about to be announced, are there normally changes to the basic spec and price?
2.If i want to cancel my order to get the latest revision, is it simple enough to do it?
    3. Would you recommend the full accident and replacement warranty? If so, why is this so important? Do the machines break down a lot?

    2. I think it's fairly simple, haven't ever done it though. YMMV.

    3. Oh hell yes, buy the accidental warranty. Seriously, this warranty is the best I have ever had or heard of, for any class of device. Next-day in home part replacement is obscenely convenient, and it covers things like accidentally dropping one's laptop on its side with headphones plugged in. Some people have issues with hardware defects, but this seems to be fairly uncommon - however the warranty is cheap enough and comprehensive enough that it would be crazy not to buy it.

Pretty much same price for better components.
Yes as long as the PC hasn't shipped.
Definitely a must, it's not that the break a lot. The Accidental Damage Coverage will be an insurance for your investment, if anything happens to it (dropped, liquid spillage) it will be fixed.
