Probably a system restore might help you or AlienRespawn.

I think its a driver clash , I think I might have to wipe all my drivers because I did a fresh install and in the order that was listed but I used a service pack one windows 7 disk . So it could be down to the fact windows recognised the audio and auto installed a driver . I know that you need to install Alienware drivers in a certain way or it can lead to issues especially on a fresh install . Cheers for all the help .

Cheers for that guide , these laptops can be so complicated compared to your basic HP or Acer .

Cheers for all the help , I did a full re-install of windows and it looks like my Audio / USB board is broken because I plugged in a mouse into the board and it doesn't light up or do anything . Is there any from of audio listing in the bios for HD audio ? What I find weird is the fact my SD card will install and work yet the Audio Ports and USB ports don't work on the board . The speakers on my laptop are also out putting sound .
