    Hi guys,

Haven't posted here in a while (no issues with my rig until now) but I am suffering massive FPS variations in Hitman: Absolution...

    Most important specs:

    GTX 680M
    Intel i7 3820QM
    8GB RAM.

I have recently updated to beta driver 310.64 which didn't alleviate any of the issues.

Basically, I am under the impression that H:A should run reasonably well whilst in maximum settings on similar systems to my own, in 1080p. I have no idea what is going on with my system, I have been having MASSIVE stutters since playing Assassin's Creed II (was it really badly optimised?), which would stutter/have low FPS about every 10 seconds regardless of settings - did AC break my computer, lol?

Hitman has massive stutters and FPS dips regardless of settings and resolution, these are the setting I had:

    Shadow Quality - Medium
    Texture Quality - High
    Texture Filter - Anisotropic 16x (Tried 8x)
    SSAO - Normal (Tried Off)
Global Illumination - On (Tried Off)
    Tessellation - Off
    Reflections - Medium
    FXAA - Off.
    Level of Detail - Ultra
Depth of Field - High (Tried Normal)

I am having these problems on both 1080p and 720p; regardless of what I alter, the issues persist. I am also getting stutters within games that I have previously completed - such as Batman Arkham Asylum.

    Please assist,

    Thank you.

what hard drive type do you have? I had a bit of loading stutter in sleeping dogs as it loaded the world when I was using the 500gb HDD vs my SSD which isnt no where as bad.

Hey guys, just thought I'd drop in as I've been having the exact same problems with the same game on the same PC (with slight variations on the specs)
I went to Dell's Alienware forums and after trying everything to no avail, I was reffered to this forum for further assistance. You guys can check the whole conversation here: Problems with Graphics on M17x R4 - Alienware Forum - Alienware Club - Dell Community
Hope you guys can help me and DJStarscream with this issue.

    Many thanks

Have you checked the temperatures while gaming?

Strange you're getting stuttering. Im using same settings as OP except 4x instead of 16x, and i rarely get a split second hiccup (laptop in sig). Have you tried a diff driver/check your temps as well as any throttling going on.

It does heat up a a bit for me, but I've tried it even after just turning it on (when it's still cold) and the same thing happens...

I had version 306.97 on before where every game worked perfectly, since the problems began, I re-installed it and nothing. I then installed the latest Beta version and it still gives me problems... It gets hot as it's always done so it's not that...
