Are you using the latest graphics and chipset drivers? Try updating your drivers and see if the problem still persists. How's the temperature on your laptop? It could be getting a little to hot which leads to lag and eventually hangs and/or sudden shutdowns. Also does this happen when xfire is enabled or disabled or both? Try downloading the latest xfire software.

Hold on Dauphine. don't update anything if first you haven't figured out your thermals.

Donwload any of the following softwares to check your temps: Hwinfo32 (one of the best monitoring softwares out there imho) , Real Temp (this is what i use for CPU readings), GPU-Z (usefull to have info about your vid cards)

google them it wont be hard to find download places. Once installed try first to figure out how about your temperatures.

Since you said that when you start gaming everithing is fine and the problem happend after a while, i would rather check temperature first than messing around with software if you aren't sure what the problem is.

    my 2 cents

you must put your computer under load to see if there is any thermal problem, even if left 1 year switched on, it will just idle there.

Stress your CPU using either Prime95 or Wprime
Stress your GPU either playing a game or using furmark

    then re-post your readings

Use the "small FFT" option, run it for 10 minutes, it should be enough to figure out the temps under load

Your CPU temps are more than good under load. You should test your video cards with furmark and running some benchmark as Vantage or 3Dmark11.
