    M17X R2 "connect supported AC adapter for optimal operation M17X"

    I have a problem. When I turn on my M17X R2 it goes to the BIOS and says "connect supported AC adapter for optimal operation M17X". I can press F1 to continues but the laptop will run on battery. I updated to the BIOS to A10 but that didn't fix the problem. Also, when I remove the battery the computer shuts off completely.

    Does anybody know how to fix this problem?

    Call Dell and ask them to replace it, after making sure you properly connected it, did a power drain( removing the coincell battery).
    Does the blue 'ring' light up at least when plugged?
