I chanced upon an ebay deal for a 7970M to finish my best value resurrection quest for $70. So here's the odd thing. It sometimes does not properly detect the Samsung RGB and I get a blank screen. I have to restart it 3 or 4 times and it'll come back, so I can verify that everything works. But I would sure like to get rid of this problem. It sounds like lots of people have had it or something like it. Oh, and the external monitors work everytime!

I'm currently typing on the laptop as its working in windows and performing admirably with pretty nice temps and not too much noise. Since the problem is so inconsistent I wonder if its my power supply or something? This is just a frustrating guess.

Before upgrading from my HD5870, the laptop would basically "wake up grumpy" and be slow on its first boot and have to be immediately rebooted to wake up properly. Its very strange, but after that reboot it would always run at normal top speed.

I tried flashing to the sangemaru VBIOS and its performing exactly the same. I downloaded the RJT VBIOS but its older and I havent worked up the nerve to try it yet, especially because the system is stable and reasonably fast, if it doesnt make me reboot 5 times to get into windows...

Im on A10 standard Dell Bios if that helps. Anymore guesses would sure be appreciated!
    Happy Holidays everyone!
