Ok, so the question is - what type of LVDS cable connector is on the m17X R2 1200p 95% NTSC RGB LED LCD Screen? is it the same pinout as 15.6" 1080p 40pin LVD's connector/pinout or different pinout same 40pin connector etc?

Can anybody share pinout schematics? I wonder if I could adopt this 1200p LCD to work with 15.6" FHD 1080p LVDS cable, or will it power up right away as plug-n-play?

Thanks for any input in advance!

    Hi,

Well, i do not have a green idea, you could compare pics of the connectors on google, seach for images with various keywords, try serial number of the screen as well.

I say, if the connector looks the same then....it should work...

    The r2 1200p uses a HP693 ribbon cable.
And it uses the same lvds connector for the cfl screen.
However the backlight connector is a different story, if you would connect a led screen to a cfl inverter you would probably end up frying mobo or screen.
    (As I unfortunately did)

Yes it was either sold with 1440x900 base LCD or RGBLED 1920x1200 RGBLED WUXGA Samsung panel (same one used in the Precision M6500).
