As the title says, ever since my sister downloaded a game trainer from a torrent site, my games started to slow down, and when I check GPU-Z
one of the GPU is showing up as a M7820. And another thing I noticed is the msconfig is missing in the run dialog box?

First we need to know if you have also updated drivers recently. all drivers after 12.5 make the m5870 cards appear as m7820 cards. After that, run a virus scan. If that doesnt find anything then look to the threads on this site as to how to uninstall and reinstall ATI/AMD drivers. If your computer is still showing problems, list them here.

Sounds like a potential case of malware, as rsgeiger suggested.

It is possible the malware installed itself in System Restore files as well, but I would attempt to do a system restore to a date prior to the issue occurring as the first step in the process. If you cannot access System Restore, as well as MSCONFIG, then I think the answer to the question of malware infestation is obvious. Downloading anything from a torrent site carries some degree of risk, especially if the file is not carefully examined and scanned prior to unpacking it, and again a second time before running the installation.

If System Restore does not work, you may be looking at a clean OS install or an Alien Respawn factory restore. I would start backing up everything that you don't want to lose to prepare for what might be inevitable.

I have the 12.7 drivers. I can't even open the Catalyst Control Center. Is there any chance the malware might be transferred on the files I will back up?
