    M17X R2 Lighting Issue Zone 7

    Hey:
    I recently had to go in and replace my optical drive... what a pain! Anyway, my front right led now stays red? When I change the FX to blue, it turns purple, white stays red, etc. Any ideas? It's just the right side, so I am completely lost... is there a config or harware conflict isue that would cause one side to stay red as an indicator? Any help is greatly appreciated... Thanks!

    Try resetting your AlienFX, then test the colors again. If that doesn't work, you can try reseating the ribbon cable. It's the smaller one of the two. Sadly, if those don't remedy your problem, it is most likely the LED became damaged. The only way to fix that is to replace the keyboard.

    I'll definitely give it a shot... where are the ribbon cables you referenced that go to Zone 7 (the front lights)? That could be it... I unseated my xfire ribbon when I was in there and had no idea! Thanks for the help...
