I'm getting this not so nice noise coming from the PSU when it is plugged into the jack of my laptop, if not then it makes a ticking noise....does that mean it might catch fire? I'm worried about using it....

I have the same noise for about 8 months now and I stress the PSU pretty hard with my config. It hasn't faulted though and is still running very well. It may be on its way out but wouldn't worry too much about it since mines is still performing perfectly.

Is it like a buzzing noise? Usually a buzzing noise is something is shot in the power circuitry. New 240W Delta adapters are like 60 dollars..

Hopefully it's not that kind of noise. If it's a buzzing or popping noise I would just replace the Adapter.
