    Just wondering if anyone has managed to successfully update the 5870 graphics card drivers, sounds a bit silly but I have never been able to update them since I bought the machine a couple of years ago.
    I have been to the ATI website and downloaded what I believe are the latest drivers but they fail when installing with 'Application install: install package failure;

    I downloaded the latest drivers from this site - Desktop

    I am running Windows 7 64 bit.

    Thanks

    If you haven't already, you need to flash the vBios of the 5870M to the newest version to allow the cards to be unlocked from just Dell drivers. After the vBios flash you can use the newest version of CCC without hassle. maxslo has posted a tutorial on how to flash the vBios, and has even made his own which unlock the cards so that you can overclock them to the max :D. Just when you download the package and make a bootable USB, only copy REV02 and REV12 and not REV0 and REV1 onto the usb to unlock overclocking.

    I am currently using the newest version of CCC 13.11 Beta, which can be downloaded here: Videocards - ATI Catalyst Windows 7 8 and Vista

    From my experience, after you flash the vBios you get more stability with the cards if you download the drivers from the guru3d website and not through the official AMD installer.
