I've just installed the A05 BIOS update on my Alienware M17X-R2 and turned on the Intel Virtualization support. When it attempts to boot into Windows Server 2008 R2 with HyperV, it blue screens. The only workaround I've found thus far is to disable the Intel virtualization support. Only then will it successfully boot to Windows.

If anyone finds a workaround that includes using the Intel stuff, please let me know. I'd really like to take advantage of Hyper-V, but this is stopping me dead in my tracks.

    Thanks!

Hey thanks for the heads up. I was planning to install VT software on my next AW.

Howdy, I see this is an old post, did you ever get Windows Server 2008 R2 to work on your box?
