I saw them somewhere but I can't find he post again via search.

Anyone know how wide, deep, and thick (closed) this thing is so I can find an appropriate messenger bag for it?

That weight isn't right, I can tell you it doesn't weigh in at 12 pounds, I don't think it weighs that with the power adaptor. The dimensions aren't right either, here's the actual dimensions:

Height (front): 44.5 mm (1.75 inches)
Height (back): 45.0 mm (1.77 inches)
    Width: 410.0 mm (16.14 inches)
    Depth: 304.0 mm (11.97 inches)
    Weight: Starting at 4.29kg(9.46 pounds)

Yeah they've had issues with mix n match specs on the R3 the whole time. Most of the time its just been a copy/paste of the R2 specs.

11.68lbs is NOT the starting weight of R3. It is of the R2. I dont know why but Dell's website messed this up.

    From the manual:

    Height
    Front
    44.5 mm (1.75 inches)
    Back
    45.0 mm (1.77 inches)
    Width
    410.0 mm (16.14 inches)
    Depth
    304.0 mm (11.97 inches)
Weight with 9-cell battery and optical drive (starting at)
    4.26 kg (9.40 lb)

    9.4lb makes sense.

The only "gaming case" I saw was the Alienware case... Which seems REALLY cheaply made.

Never had a problem with Wenger / Swissgear and use their bags while traveling so I figure this is the one to get :)
