    M17X R4 (7970m): Completely Black screen.

    Recently I had bought the M17x R4, and up until yesterday it had been working like a dream. However, suddenly now when booting up All I can hear is sound and with a little light, some FAINT flickering on the screen when light is hitting on it. I don't know what to do about this, nor what to replace if it needs anything.

    It seems I can only slightly see icons, but I cannot see it in plain sight and at this point i'm at wits end on what to do. Since I had just bought the laptop on the 22nd of August. and Alienware's customer service has been of no help.

    Can someone please help me? I don't know what is wrong with this?

    Sounds like hardware failure, possibly. Call Dell support and get a tech out there ASAP.
