I have recently installed a 1070 standard form black pcb on my alienware. Only problem is that It loves to power limit throttle between max 120W and 80W-90W and it is making my framerate bounce around quite a bit. I have a 330W PSU and disabled power adapter warning in the bios. My next guess would be that the vbios of the card is not allowing the card to run at its full potential power without hitting a ceiling. Under full load for 2 or 3 hours, In call of duty modern warfare the card is running at a toasty 82C. With the 3 pipe heatsink that in the followinf days will be upgraded the the 5 pipe heatsink
I want to edit the vbios with the Mobile Pascal TDP tweaker but I'm not sure what to edit. And would like maybe some suggestions on what to do!

In a picture from your previous thread, it appears one of the VRMs isn't making proper contact with the heatpad above it.
You may want to cut that blue heatpad back a bit to ensure full contact. Power throttling can be caused by overheating VRMs. Only the GPU core temp is reported in monitoring software. -

Increasing the temperature limit may help, even though your card isn't actually overheating. There were some reports with people on other machines experiencing clock throttling even though their cards weren't overheating, which was remedied by raising the temperature limit. This may or may not work for you since it seems to vary by laptop model.

Yes. You'll need one with certificate verification disabled, but I don't know of a version with the certificate verification bypass that works with pascal cards. The only option is a physical BIOS programmer, which I have never used.
