    hello guys

I've tried installing an already VBIOS flashed (svl7) GTX 780M in my M17X R4 (originally 660M and with 1600x900 display)

I've followed the J95 procedure from Techinferno, up to the point where you disable the integrated card and set display as PEG

the PC, with the 780 inside, won't boot.. black screen and alarm sound.

only way to boot is to reset BIOS and have it boot with the Intel HD enabled. the BIOS recognizes a Nvidia device. Windows sees it as Microsoft basic display device.

so I've tried installing the modified Nvidia drivers (344.11), windows now sees the card as 780M, but it won't be active (afterburner sees the Intel, games are slow.. nvidia control panel does not launch).

so I reboot. what happens is that windows loads but as a black screen. mouse pointer works, changes to text cursor, changes to spinning wheel.. but always black screen.

can only boot fine windows by setting display to use the Intel HD only (IGFX), or by uninstalling the Nvidia drivers.

any suggestions on how should I proceed?? thanks!!
