Nope, just updated from A05 about 5min ago. Check with HWiNFO64... you should see your fans working... The laptop would definitely shutdown very quickly if you did not have fans operation.

If your laptop uses your built in graphics card from the processor the fan wont run on the GPU. Check to see which card your using.

the graphic card still work but the fan does not, when the temp reach 90 degree the card starts throttling. I thought it was because of bios 09 then I tried to flash back bios 05 but it did not allow me to. I could only flash back bios 08 then I did. The computer restarted itself and cannot be booted, it keeps reporting no boot devices.

Can anyone help me please !

Check your bios settings, would be helpful to know your specs as well. Probably set itself to RAID when it was AHCI or vice versa. Otherwise might be because UEFI boot might be enabled.

Yeah yeah, i think there is something to do with the UEFI, I dont know what it is since I updated from bios 05 to 09 then back to 08. Do you have any idea about the UEFI? Wat should I do to boot normally?

If you were on A05 I guess you should disable UEFI and fastboot and enable legacy support, as your OS was probably installed under legacy mode. You have to install under UEFI to enable UEFI and fast/secure boot. But I don't think UEFI was introduced until bios A09? Mine came preloaded with A09, and I clean installed windows 8 ontop. But it shoulds like the bios might be still A09?

Your fan could have burnt out or the cable came loose as well, the fan issue is not common at all for anyone updating from A05 to A09, so look at the obvious first before trying to make a small issue big by screwing with the bios settings.

First things first, if you do not have HWiNFO64, download it, and set custom profiles for your GPU fan (this will manually control the fans). If this works, then yes you might have a BIOS/Hardware issue, if not then your GPU fan could be burnt out. There are ways of checking the fan manually if you pull it out, i'm sure someone knows which leads needs to be hooked up to check functionality.

P.S. I'm sure Fox has a detailed "how to" for dummies for the HWiNFO64 (no pun intended)
