I've bought 2 Kingston HyperX 2133 memory, but if I set freq to 2133,computer can not even go into BIOS,just black screen without warning sound.
So I have to set freq to 1866.
My cpu is 3610QM,but I've seen some people run 2133 memory in M17X R3 2630QM.I don't think the problem is CPU.

When I had 2133 ram it would also not boot with two sticks at that frequency, I had to run it at 1866 with tighter timings. I guess some CPUs can handle the memory and some simply cant

I don't think they actually limit it, it's just that most CPUs can't handle it unless you have an amazing chip. One stick will work, add the stress of a second chip in dual channel and you lose stability

    Thanks for your reply.
How about upgrade my cpu?Maybe i7-37/38/XM can handle it.

The limit is 1600MHZ i geuss....
Should look it up, it's possible having it run on 2133mhz.
Ive had a few motherboard and there was one that could not make 2133mhz...

So i think it has something to do with a motherboard.

EDIT: I check it and if I read it right the official speed is max 1600MHZ, in most cases you can run it higher but it had a Roof,
So it's possible that you cannot reach 2133MHZ.

Somebody correct me if I am wrong but I think this is it.

The only laptop to support 2133Mhz ram was M18x, don't think the situation changed.
