seems like your getting your R2 from the outlet as well.

I got the scratch and dent model an essentially it was dead on arrival...

I had M15x before which isnt so different from the R2 and it was really good build quality. Only thing that I really hated was the bottom plastic panel which really felt like cheap plastic and sounded like really cheap plastic when u slightly like hit it. if u know what i mean....

    What color did u get?

I'm pretty sure Dellienware meant the M15x had a plastic service panel.

My personal experience is really good. Keep in mind that i stay 6 month out of home for work and i travel a lot, i usually work in places not exactly "human friendly", at the moment i'm about 900 km on the sahara desert..

I'm almost sure that another laptop wouldn't have hold this good. R2 is exceptionally well build and can take a lot of punishment, I like the internal hardware distribution and accessibility. It has good upgradeability and the 1920x1200 rgb led screen is amazing.

Having taken apart my refurb, to put in my new 6970 cards, I can tell you it is built like a tank.

    Very nice :)
About warranty...if we extend our warranty (buy extension every single year/2/3yrs) We are elegible for replacement if R2'd2' fails :) ? So sooner or later we will get new gaming rig ?

Also...disassembly... do i have to do it as it is in the manual exactly ? do you have any 'tips' not to chip or scratch anything while changing CPU ?

Mine comes with 740qm but i have 920xm in my cupboard ....so i will tear apart my r2 when it arrives on wednesday :)

My backpack strap broke one day and my laptop smacked the pavement (cement, literally). 3 - 4 foot free fall. My backpack is not padded at all. The small piece of metal that goes through the middle of the rear left vent cracked, but the laptop works just as well as the day I got it. I ended up buying a new bottom section on eBay, but that is it. I'm not sure any of my previous laptops would have survived that.
