    Hi
my CPU is the Ivy Bridge core i7 3630QM 2.4Ghz, the idle temperature is appox 50 Celsius degree and it will increase up to 79 degree on 100% when I run prime95 test. I think this temperature range is too hot. Other users claim their CPU is idling from 30 to 45 degree. I already have repaste the CPU with IC Diamond but the temperature is still the same, no temperature drops at all. You guys have any idea?

50 idle is fine and 79 under prime 95 is no sweat at all. mine hits 100 easy with my silent fan profile.

Anything below 94 is fine :)

95 and above it starts to throttle

That temperature does seem fine for a CPU under load. We have these tips to perform regularly to keep your temps down.

50C at idle seems just like mine. You could repaste or use a cooling pad to cool the laptop. It will help decrease a few C.
