hello guys, i just want to ask a simple question here,.. well i've just tested to play some games only with it's battery and without adapter plugged in, and the result is.. my frame rates was like.. it looked jaggy in every seconds of the gameplay, i don't know why

By the Way, is that normal, or something else that might caused this? thanks..

    It's normal.

The battery simply cannot power everything running at full speed while unplugged. And even if it could, it would die within 10 minutes max.

Although in a sense, AMD users have an advantage on battery life due to being able to shut off their gpu's when not in use. The optimus is automatic, but it will still stay turned on.

You'd probably get 2hrs max with 3D, depending on your brightness.

I think nvidia uses something called Powermizer to reduce your GPU's performance while not plugged in. It's annoying, and I've heard some people were able to disable it... Your battery life would go to nothing really fast though.

These laptops are really designed to game while plugged in. That's been my experience at least.

Ya, powermizer/ powerplay just clocks the card down when on battery. That's really more of a precaution to protect the battery than to enable mobile gaming.

Yes these laptops are not designed to run on battery. My R2 is only 1.5 hours on idle with 920XM/5870M Crossfire. On full blast it's probably 10 minutes or less...

oh, well i thought it will perform the same while unplugged.
By the way, i've got no problems to run this laptop without adapter just for daily use.. except when gaming only :)

Powermizer? first time i've heard about that..
does that powermizer comes with the Nvidia itself, or separately? i mean.. like stand alone software or something? sorry but i never knew about that powermizer before, lol :p

This would be a job for google I think. The short answer is that it's built into the video bios and the drivers.
