    Hi

I have seen a few threads regarding RAM for this model, it happens to be my model as well.

I have upgraded this as per my previous threads...

    My question:

The threads I have seen state that the M17XR3 i7-2720QM quad-core processor can handle more then 16GB of RAM ...(even though I'm sure I read somewhere that the max is 16GB of RAM.. :)

Would this be true, I mean ...I'm running 16GB of RAM on WIN7 Ultimate 64BIT , but the threads states that if you have win7 64bit ultimate you can run more RAM perhaps even 32GB..is this true?????????????

    Many thanks...

you should be able to run 32gb's just fine if you have the proper ram.

Hi Thank you for your reply..

I saw these threads and must admit was a bit suprised...i would of course not have tried it myself for fear of damaging something..

I guess it would come down to adjusting the Bios RAM mhz i asuume ?? if using more then1333mhz?...

Exactly that, hopefully everything will go as expected. The warranty will not cover any harm caused due to that config because it's not a valid upgrade. Just to let you know the official word on that.
