    Hello peeps.
    I have an Alienware M17xR4:
    Just upgraded to a 3940XM from 3610QM
    16GB Ram
On the way is a 780M, to shame my 660M
    Dual Samsung 840 500GB SSD
    Bios is A13
    Windows 10 Pro
What do i need to do to get my 780M to work?
What kind of Bios or Vbios modifications are in need?
    Thank you all for reading.

any vbios will do, you will only need to mod the driver compatibilty

    You cannot proceed this way.
These are the links you should check in order to install drivers properly:

    Flashing vBios:
    1- Guide:
    http://forum.techinferno.com/nvidia-video-cards/2166-[guide]-nvidia-vbios-flashing.html
    2 - vBios for the 780m
    https://www.techinferno.com/index.p...king-editions-modified-clocks-voltage-tweaks/

    Modded drivers:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...od-for-780m-880m-and-980m-mobile-gpus.767644/

I am not actually sure these drivers are modded... They might just be "Enhanced".
So check out this link as well to learn how to mod drivers yourself (really not that hard)
    https://www.techinferno.com/index.php?/forums/topic/4055-guide-modding-nvidia-oem-inf-files/

To install a modded driver you need to restart Windows with DSE disabled (driver signature). Please google this to find how to do it.

I personally haven't tried MrFox's drivers but I read they yield fantastic results on Kepler GPU's (780m included) so you can give these a try

I honestly think you should have done your research prior to buying/receiving the 780m. You'd be ready to go as soon as you installed the card or in case these manipulations aren't what you expected, you could've instead just bought a new laptop...

Windows 10, i got it to work just modding the INF file. Reinstalled windows 10 in Raid 0. Now everytime i try to install the Nvidia driver it fails. :(

Rebooted Windows with no driver signature, and it got through.
Any suggestions to get better FPs though?
Would love it if you could remote in and check your self.

You need to invest some of your time in reading detailed posts before attempting the installation of a unsupported GPU.
I had already mentioned in my previous post that the only way to install a modded driver was to boot into windows with DSE disabled.

Now your question regarding FPS is very vague. Can you run some benchmarks using Firestrike, Unigine Valley and share the results? That way we can let you know if your results make sense or not.
In case some throttling is detected, you can try using MrFox's drivers which I believe help eliminate this issue. I don't have a 780m so can't guarantee anything. You really need to do your homework if you want to get the most out of your new GPU. Both the NBR and Techinferno forums are great places to read detailed posts on the subject and to find drivers/vbios etc...

Well it's only about $5 to register for a month and be able to download any file you want. Worth IMHO. It's a great community so I can't send you the files personally... So you can either find someone who will or be patient and wait till you can legally get them off the forums there.
