    just thought i would make a quick post for all those in Uk, and around Europe to post there ETA's and any issues for them.

    was too hard to filter through n work out who was from US and Uk ;P

    My ETA is still July 8th or sooner! does any1 have a close ETA in Europe?

    Here is my timeline :
    06/03 -> Order placed (EDD 07/13)
    06/05 -> Moved into phase 2
    06/17 AM -> Cancelled
    06/17 PM -> Placed again (EDD 07/28!!!!!!!)
    06/18 AM -> Cancelled (again)
    06/18 PM -> Placed again (and again...)
    06/19 -> Moved into phase 3 !!!

    Good initiative. I hope we wont be bothered here with all the "scucces-stories" of our fellow Americans.

    My exact timelines is:
    06/03 -> Order placed (EDD 07/15)
    06/05 -> Moved into phase 2
    06/17 -> Cancelled
    06/18 -> Placed again (EDD 07/10)
    06/18 -> Cancelled (again)
    06/18 -> Placed again
    06/18 -> Moved into phase 3 !!!

    When I speak to my rep now, all he tells me is: you get it on or before 10th of July. No more info is given.
    Right now im pretty fed up with this whole situation and more and more i wonder if it is worth all the hassle and frustration. If there isnt going to be a change I might cancel this whole order. I expect a phone call from the reps manager today and if he doesnt have a satisfying answer for me this might well happen.

    My EDD is 02/07/09. They've said it'll be with me before that but who knows? Gonna call my rep soon, but just recovering from a night out first. :p

    Here is my timeline :
    06/02 -> Order placed via phone, confirmed, Online Status available, moved into phase 2
    06/17 -> Cancelled by Dell (Representative told me it wasn't actually cancelled, they had a system fault and had to reassign it to a new order number due to a fault in their system), mailed out new confirmation
    06/18 -> Online status for new order number available, moved into phase 3 (EDD 07/22)

    Estimated delivery time still shows as on or before 07/22, although my representative assured me she that it should still be delivered around or before the original EDD of 07/06. Fingers crossed, as I will be going on a month-long vacation shortly after the original delivery date and won't be able to receive the laptop.

    i think everyones was cancelled. mines was cancelled twice also, i think most will get around the 5-15th of july =)

    I wonder what happens to the people who don't constantly check the online status of their order. Do their orders just remain cancelled? Or do Dell plan on processing their orders eventually?

    Hi, I have been following the discussions on this for some time - glad we have a Europe only thread now - the others were getting very confusing. So anyway I order on the 11.06.09 (in UK via website)

    11/06/09: Order placed. (EDD: 21/07/2009).
    ??/06/09: Moved in to Phase 2
    18/06/09: Order moved to Phase 3 (Still EDD of 21/07/2009)

    And an just waiting it out now. Sorry to hear about all the Cancellations - just hope that I haven't jinxed it by posting :)

    Don't know what kind of organisation this (Dell NL) is, but if even asking to be called back is asking then too much, then wahta else to do?
    Every time the same old story like and old record: You will get it on or before the 10th of July. Yes I can read too!

    Since 06/16 I try thousands times to join my rep by phone or e-mail. I even manage to have he's manager phone number but she never reply.

    It's really hard to be ignored like that and still have to be patient without a beginning of information.

    Hi,

    I'm from England.

    Ordered 11/06/09
    Went into Production phase, where it is currently, sometime last week, think it was the 16/06/09.
    EDD is 21st July but I've just emailed them to make sure things are still ticking along ok. Can't phone as I keep missing their open hours.

    My guess is their will be a big batch of UK deliveries beginning of July

    I'm from England and i ordered mine on the 10th of June the delivery date was 30th of June and a few days ago i checked the order status and the delivery date was suddenly pushed back to 22nd of July. So i phoned up and threatened to cancel my order and they said that if i stick with my order they will reduce the price of my order by £200! So i'm sticking with it. So now on top of my 10% discount i'm getting another £200 off the price which is pretty good.

    How come in the UK we don't get the options for solid state drives, blu ray writer and tv tuner like the Americans?

    not sure why but the tv tuner will be coming to europe site eventually. Randomly asked a dell rep if it would be during my pre-order enquieries

    Because they hate us. By the way, I've been trying to reach my rep the whole day but I keep getting her voicemail. I've left 17 messages over the last week and have heard nothing from it. It's ridiculous. They better meet my EDD of next Thursday or I'm cancelling. Simple as that.

    Because of the attitude of my rep and his manager I'm almost ready to cancel this order. They simply refuse to call me back or to answer any of my questions. Teh only thing they tell me is what I can see for myself on the Dell site.

    Just rang up Dell the normal way. My rep is still being an a ss. My order will be coming with a Windows 7 upgrade voucher (yay) and should be shipped sometime over the weekend. This rep says it's coming from China, so I'd expect it to take 3-4 days after leaving there.

    Nope, but that won't change until the order is shipped. It'll skip phase 4.

    No-one can confirm because no-one has received an order today. It's only orders from today, 26th June. Wev'e known that for a long time.

    ok guys got an answer! they said any computer which is not in shipping phase (phase 5) will be elibable for the voucher.. you just phoned them once u recieve it and they will help u activate something or another he said! =)

    In pre-production for about 2 weeks
    Order cancelled
    New order 18/06/09
    Order cancelled and reordered under the same number
    Into production 22/06/09
    Still in production today

    And just to echo peoples frustrating experience with Dell customer 'service'. They're fairly useless tbh, just seem to parrot what's on the website. I'm capable of reading, thanks. And I've my doubts about the accuracy of what's on the website.

    ye mines was cancelled twice, but i phoned up my rep who was great! and hes instantly fixed the issue and spead up my order to the 8th rather than mid july! - as they get commision on it ;)

    Well after thinking about getting the m15x i decided to take the plunge and go for the m17x so here is where i am so far

    25/06/09 - ordered
    26/06/09 - cancelled as they say my payment was not authorised even though i phoned the bank and they say it was. at present my rep who only seems to work till 1pm is going to try again after i got her the authorisation code the bank gave me. i cant phone her cause the phone is always busy and i assume she doesnt work the weekends so its going to be at least monday before i find anymore information out. bloody hell.

    omg i had this problem! some cards, mines was a debit. puts a block to stop large money transactions taking place, Dell dont phone the bank to authorise it - in turn bank phones you to approve, this is because it charges, dell xx amount of money. so their clearly taking shortcuts to save money. so i sent them a wireless transfere (cost £30) they said they would repay it once i recieve the laptop. so ask for there account number and sort code stuff and transfere them the cash m8

    credit card flagged order as suspicious and put a hold on it.
    Order officially accepted 15/06/09
    Tried to change or cancel on 21st when I realised that it wouldn't come with the bracket and adapter needed to mount a second hard disk.
    They refused to cancel. Credit card refused to cancel.
    I have an email from customer services stating that when I receive it I can send it back for a full refund (within seven days of delivery) and order again with 2 hard disks - what a mad business model

    Not yet, I think I'll be the first. :p Well, on these forums at least. There were 30 units delivered within Europe last week but my guess is that those were for employees or friends of employees.

    Can't believe my order query through email to dell resulted in them telling me "The delay is due to an unforeseen demand for this product and the supply constraint"...

    They've branded something the most powerful laptop in the universe and they didn't think they would sell lots?? sweet.

    Company will tell you this as an excuse. It could be also because the demand is too low. And they wait to get more orders to order the parts from suppliers.

    the demand is extremely high and they were unable to support the m17x from the begining even if the orders were just a few. this is always the reply you will get. the only thing that remains is to pray.

    how do you know that? Anyway, Shuya when yours will be shipped please tell me if the delivery company (whichever this will be) will really send you a message to your mobile for the exact day and time of delivery. this is important for me too and if something goes wrong the whole waiting will be for nothing..

    I should have received mine on the 25th yet no one brought it in nor called...
    It is UPS. It is a Black, 2.8GHz. Single 260 video card. 1920x1200 display. and the rest of the standard stuff.

    The Status: Billing Information Received and it does not change.

    I have no clue where it is. Dell has no clue and does not know how to contact UPS. I do not know what to do actually. It was supposed to be delivered between 9am-6pm and no one called.

    I am outside UK now but I have a friend who waited for it on the 25th allday.. I will be in the UK early JULY but I really need to know the UPS UK number. DELL said they do not have it.

    Thank you very very very much.. That is great. You know something, I forgot to tell them about another hard disk bracket, I will have to dig out the number for alienware to get this. Someone here told me they sent it in one day for free..But the thing is to know the number.

    Well, well, well. Another message from Dell NL:
    My rep is unavailable since Wednesday because he is ill. I hope he will be back tomorrow. My reps manager hasn't answered my questions nor did he ring back. I did ask for this three times.
    My system is in production since the 18th of June, still no change.
    EDD remains 10 of July. And I'm pretty fed up with it all.

    you know i wonder about something. with so many orders waiting and in build phase as long as the parts come will they test the m17x after building or will they send them immediately ? you are waiting for it the sooner the better but guess if there are problems what is going to happen..
