    Hi Guys,

Seems this forum is pretty helpful.

Anyways, on my R1 with 260m SLI, I play League of Legends and it runs GREAT with PCI gen 2 enabled. The problem is, this setting is well known to cause system crashes.

The problem is, when I turn it off, LoL runs like hell. It stutters almost every 10 seconds.

I'm currently running the drivers provided by Dell on their website. I have not yet tried the 285 or 290 drivers as with the past attempts with this laptop and upgrading the drivers, I've had various other issues.

So the question is, is there ANYTHING new information wise to get my pci gen 2 turned back on safely or is this option still a no go? Should I try hacking my INF files for the 290 and see how that goes with LoL?

    Thanks in advance.

Sold my R1 a few months ago but i always wanted to know if there was a solution to this aswell.

In the end i found the only way is to revert back to pre verde drivers.

    197.84 and below.

Every driver above those would crash if PCI gen 2 was enabled.

The problem still exists. I tried turning it back on a few weeks back and got the same old freezes. It doesn't happen as often with the latest drivers but its still there.

And now that nVidia won't add the dev id lines for the M17xR1 in their drivers (needing us the mod the inf files), my M17x is fast becoming a large paperweight!
