Do you think this is a good deal? And is the dell website tax-free? And on adding more ram, What brand do you guys recommend? Thanks.
-
Not tax free since they sell dells in stores like bestbuy and such, what my sells rep told me but I talked them into free next day shipping b/c of taxes.
-
In Oxnard, Dell will charge you 8.75% tax so you have to add that to the system price.

DaneGRClose Notebook Virtuoso
Good part is in Oxnard you aren't too far from where they ship from, I'm in UT and my order shipped from Hawthorne and went straight to Torrence
-
Tax for me is 10.25%. Thank goodness I got the aafes deal, whew!

So that's how it works.. How about if i want to upgrade the ram, What brands do you think will work. I read some issues that some upgraded their ram and started to experience bsod's. I don't want to upgrade my ram in the dell website. It is extremely overpriced. T_T

Why would you add more RAM? Are you working in 3D programs or music production?
Also don't forget to order by phone and see if they can make you a better deal, especially if it's not your first AW system. -

I bought 2 m17x R3 for me and my friend, i bought 8GB from amazon for 80$ and will move my 4GB to my friend laptop (so he will end up having 8GB too)
Dell doesn't make the ram or hard drives or CPU/etc you are 100% safe buying ram from other places just be sure no conflict with other installed rams (or just simply remove installed ram all together just like my case)
8GB from dell = 250$
From amazon it's freaking 16GB for 160$.....
M17x 1920x1080 120Hz 3Dscreen for $1699
