I just ordered the M17x 3D and was wondering if it was the correct choice. What caught my eye was the 120hz Screen more then the 3D capability, though watching movies in 3D is what i will be using 3D for more than gaming. Is it worth getting the 460m for the 3D or going with the 2GB GDDR5 AMD Radeon™ HD 6970M for better gameing performance..im twisted in my choice now.Any help or advice is appreciated, thx.

If the game supports sli then the 280s will be better but if it's a single 280 vs a single 460 the later is better

No it's not available through Dell. But you can buy it and upgrade it yourself there are a few problems at the moment though you lose 3D function and I think the fans are a little wonky

Yes Sager has the x7200 with dual 6970s and dual nvidia 485s but it also sports a desktop processor it's a 17". And I believe there's a successor to the x8100 coming out soon it's also a 18" screen like the M18x. I would still go with the Alienware as Dells warranty is best in class IMHO

Although it will not have 3d and will be quite a bit heavy other than it looks awesome.

Still I'm going to try out the 3d when it arrives and see if I like it enough to not send it back.
