As I am sure everybody is aware, you can purchase an upgrade key through many retailers. I just ordered my R3, and no way I was going to pay $130 to have Pro installed by Dell. You can get a key through a major online dealer for under 80 bucks. However, I read some reviews and it stated that you cannot upgrade an OEM version of Windows. I researched Microsoft and could not confirm that information.
I wish Dell was more competitive with upgrade prices. The only thing I took up a notch was to go to the 2720QM and the Ultimate N WiFi, with the full HD display.

Also, can tell me if it came with recovery discs or did you have to create them yourself?

    Any help would be appreciated.

I did it.... you just receive a 'key' and it adds features to your current win7 os. DO NOT BUY through dell nor microsoft.... google search is your friend :) You will have to make discs yourself... not hard. Have fun :)

Thanks Tayer....I know where to get it for just under 80 bucks. I don't know if this forum forbids mentioning particular vendor sites, hence "major online dealer"! My computer arrives at the end of April...I am stoked!
