The 150 W AC adapter supports computers with a single graphics card and a non-Extreme Edition processor. Other configurations require the 240 W AC adapter.

How can i check if i got the 240 adapter for the m17x?

what about this part number for the cable:

5120P Cord,Power,125V,6Feet,SJT, Unshielded - (125V is shown on the cable, does it matter?)

    Thanks.

The 240W adapter has the Dell part no. as J211H. I'm not sure what the other part number is for the 150W.

Not at all, I use my M17x in 220V outlets all the time, and don't have any issues. (Did have my adapter burnout my first month. Dell was quick to replace, and I ordered like 4 extras, and since then, never had another problem with my adapter [which accomplished the purpose just the same])
