    Hi Guys,

Had my m17x now for about a week and very pleased with it.

I noticed that I cant update my drivers directly from the ATi site and was wondering if there was a reason for that? Is it a good idea to remove the alienware drivers and use the ATi ones?

Im just looking to get the best performance possible.

    Thanks for your help.

So I was reading that this is the best current version. 12.11 beta11 with CAP2. Not entirely sure, I asked myself. However, you can try it and let me know how it works. It is definitely okay to remove the alienware drivers, as some of them are a bit outdated.

So do i remove the drivers via control panel and then install the new ones via the catalyst tool on AMDs website?

For whatever reason the mobility catalyst thing that detects your card does not recognize mine and therefore I cant install. Is there something i can try to make this work properly?

make sure you have the MOBILITY 12.11 and not the desktop one.
