I have a m17x I bought that has a faulty screen. It has jumping horizontal lines. These use different sized lcd cable inputs on the screen so I don't think it is possible to find a replacement, there was nothing on ebay with the part number LTN170CT11. Could someone help me out. I have no hard drives in and I want to boot it to an external monitor. The fn+ f6 does not work. Is anyone else able to get theirs to boot to external monitor before it gets to windows? If so please tell me. Thanks.

Oops, never mind. I put a loaded hard drive in, let windows install the normal drivers while there was the distortion, it restarted and strangely started working normal. 0_0
