    Hello!! I am new in the forum and i want to post my problem with my Alienware m17x.
    When i press the shutdown the machine normally close the windows but keyboard and other lits remain on.I have to press the AW head for abt 8 secs in order the machine to shutdown completely.
    All drivers etc. are updated.

    Any idea pls???..

    That's normal, it defaults to sleep if you only press the Shut Down button. you can change that in Control Panel.
    To shut it down if you don't want to change the current behaviour of the button press the arrow button next to it on the right and select Shut Down.

    Thanks but there is not "Shut down" option next to the arrow(Switch user,Log off,Lock,Restart,Sleep,Hibernate).
