    Hey everyone.

I called in multiple times to Dell Canada and even USA as I have a US address right across the border.

Both times my R2 with xfired 5870s and RGB screen came up to $3000 with the rest being barebone specs, as i could upgrade those for cheaper.

They say the best they can do for me is taking off $100 and charging me $50 bucks less on the warranty.

The $3000 includes taxes and warranty (3 year accidental quoted at $380)

I've read countless threads on here saying how to manipulate the sales person. Non of these tactics work! I grew up with 3 sisters and found out very early on how to survive by manipulating... thats not my problem.

Are people over exaggerating their deals or what am I missing?

I understand if you all got those outrageous deals on a black friday or something , but then thats what I want to know.

The outlet store CDN version isnt very good. I want an M17x and will order either the r2 or r3 when the time comes this week (leaning towards R2).

Any last tips. Was hoping to get all in price of $2500 with crossfire/screen and warranty. Is this unrealistic?

If I cant get a product i'm happy with for $2500, thats when I start to draw the line on spending.. any more and it gets less enjoyable because you think about the money you are spending...if that makes sense.

Cheers, hope someone has a way of $2500 working. Asus G73 series isnt as exciting...

If you want good specs for $2500, you will need to purchase through the US Dell outlet using a 15% off coupon. Set up a mail forwarding address and get it that way.

I called them back a few times, spoke to different people until I could find one willing to bargain with me. I ended up with getting an extra free year of premier warranty and a further 10% off the total price. Just keep trying, make them understand that you will only purchase one if they meet your conditions. If they are willing to compromise see what you can come up with. Otherwise hang up and move onto the next sales person.
