I am just curious as to what people might suggest for a second hard drive for the r3, my primary is gonna be an 256 gb ssd, and I am looking for a good big drive for the second to act a data store for photos and videos.

Looking for a meaty drive to keep my ssd free for games, boot, etc.

My eyes are pretty much strained from information overload the last few days and staring at various screens recently and my brain seems mush from looking myself, so I am looking for suggestions. Any help is appreciated.

anything that is 2.5in 9.5mm with a huge capacity. I use the 750GB western digital. If its just storage then speed is generally irrelevant.

i second this, great performance for price.

However, if you're just going for pure storage, then the speed of the momentus wont help much and a 750gb hdd would probably work better.

yea im told the 12.7mm height 1TB drives do not fit in the m17x r3. So if you need a big storage drive the biggest you can get is a 9.5mm 750GB drive. Since it';s just storage you can save yourself some money and get a 5400 rpm version.

WD 750gb would be my choice. You don't need the XT really, and an extra 250gb on a storage drive never hurts :)
