I read that the 9.12 drivers are best and most stable for these cards. Can someone please show me how to mod my drivers? I am using the most up to date ones from dell, I have many problems with them.
Please post some help or guides please!

Hi, and welcome to the forum!
What you would need to do, is to uninstall your current driver, and install the 9.12 driver package. I don't know where to find that driver, seeing as its pretty old, but do try ATI's websites and see if they have a download archive.
That should be about it,

But when I uninstall the driver, it uninstalls everything.
I used mobility modder as everyone says to do to install them but it never works.
Also what are the exact methods to uninstall them?
From what I know when I use mobility modder it tells the computer that I can use the driver and its fine. But when i go to install them it never says that I need them so therefor I cannot install them.
Heres a picture after I used Mobility Modder, then tried to install my drivers.
If anyone knows if there are better drivers than the 9.12 ones, if so what are they? -
Mechanized Menace Lost in the MYST
11.6 offered great crossfire performance for all cards. I would give those a shot.

Worth a shot Can't tell you 100%, but Also you could try the other install method through device manager and point it to the C:/ATI/Support/XXXXX.

Ok so I fixed my driver issue, how I did it was this method.
1. Install your normal drivers from the dell website.
2. Download Mobility Modder + 9.12 Drivers( ATI Catalyst? Display Driver)
3. Extract your 9.12 drivers BUT, do not install them only extract.
4. Open Mobility Modder and then modify from the directory you extracted the 9.12 drivers.
5. Go to device manager and right click the first 4870 and Uninstall(If there is a check mark to uninstall the software check it aswell), do the same thing for the second 4870(If there was no check mark that is fine, you uninstalled the software from the first one.
6. Restart Windows normally.(I did this, idk if you have to).
7. Now go to your 9.12 drivers directory and run the Setup.exe.
You should restart after installing the driver to make sure it takes affect. Then you should now see 9.12 drivers from GPU-z like below.
But now I have a issue, you see it says ATI Crossfire - Disabled. Is this a problem with my catalyst version but not my drivers? What catalyst version should I use? This is the version I am using from my dell drivers installation. I don't even have a crossfire section in my catalyst anymore!
