I have a Creative 520 (Gaming 5.1 surround speakers) connected to the Black yellow & green ports on the M17x R1.

However, when I hit the test button only the L & R speaker produces sound, none of the rest does.
Apparently, when I play a movie or a song all the speakers and the Sub do work but in 2.1 fashion. I don't really get 5.1 output.
Please guide me how do I get the real 5.1 out and make all the speakers and sub pass the 5.1 config test??

    Also,

My SLi is pathetic (Drivers version 320.49 : Do not intend on switching to any other drivers)

and after several restarts (Max 3/4) the SLi gets activated

On the Bios I have every graphic settings disabled as Nvidia won't support hybrid graphics no more

    GTx 260m x 2

Please help I don't intend to keep on restarting :(

Additionally, whenever I put the rig to sleep it would sometime wake with a blank black screen and needs a reboot or sometimes with a non-working network (have to reset the network adapter)

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME WITH THE FIXES FOR ALL THESE ISSUES :realmad:

On my laptop, which is an M17x R2, there is an additional sound manager program accessible via the control panel called "IDT Audio Control Panel". I had to configure this properly in order to get outputs in 5.1. However, this particular driver / program is extremely buggy and unreliable. I have been unable to find a suitable alternative. Some of the bugs (which will drive you crazy) are jack monitoring "forgetting" the speaker type connected, settings not saving, settings defaulting back to headphones, etc. So, problem is that although you configure the IDT manager and get passing tests in the windows manager, the results are temporary at best. Additionally, you can never be sure that you have it set correctly as the values may or may not save. This is all from my experience. Hopefully you will have better results and good luck.

I cannot comment on your SLI problem as I do not have such a configuration or any relevant experience.

Got an m17x r2 too, no problem with the 5.1. I have just to plug the 3 jack from my z5500 in this order green/orange/black, green on dvd side. I am using the stock realtek audio driver if i remember right, i can confirm that later if you want.
