Issue: If I let me computer go to sleep, the GPU fan will not run when it wakes up. Restarting the computer fixes this. Also, the GPU fan doesn't seem to go up to the full speed when it is running, even when it is quite hot (90 Cel)
Background: This started immediately after I took out the graphics card to clean the heat sink (Which was really dusty). However, I didn't touch the actual fan, which is plugged into the motherboard, not the graphics card. I even opened up again to check and it is plugged in. (This makes sense as it does run). Something about opening up the laptop caused it, but it's not a hardware issue. The graphics card works perfectly fine still, just gets hot.
My Search: I have yet to find anyone describing a similar problem, on these forums or else where. I've seen other fan related stuff, and tried running this software
Alienware Fan Control
However it only lets me control my CPU fan. Note, if anyone is familiar with this, under the control is labels them as "Fan 1" and "Fan 2". Only one, the CPU fan, changes anything. I've seen images from other computers and it labels the fans.
Laptop History: Last summer I was having very bad graphics issues (Videos causing crashes and other weird things) found out disabling my integrated graphics card entirely fixed it. I assume it was a hardware issue. I also formatted my system, and installed all the latest drivers from the Dell service page. (So the nVidia drivers are from 2010) If I try to go directly to nVidia their drivers won't install (as many of you know).
I am running Windows 7, and have a GTX 260M.
Honestly, not letting my laptop sleep is not a major issue, though annoying. However I really need my fan to go full speed so I can play newer games without pushing temperature limits. Any help is really appreciated.

Not a lot of help but there is something weird going on with your GPU fan. As that document states ' all fans are controlled at once'. I saw this myself when I was playing with it on my R3.
Sounding like some weird MB problem
