Did you disable the 9800 ? If so disable driver signing.

    1) Open command prompt (Admin) windows key + X
    2) Type "bcdedit /set {current} testsigning yes" (without quotes) enter.
    3) Type exit and reboot.
    4) Install
    5) Repeat/replace with "bcdedit /set {current} testsigning no" reboot.

I'm trying to install 310.90 for my 280's on W8 since it got wiped when I upgraded. On W7 it was running just fine.

I have disabled everything in Bios already.

I can get into "Test Mode" through the command prompt. The problem I'm having is when I press "cancel" during the system check the Nvidia window just closes up on me not allowing me to do anything else. If I let it run I get the known incompatible drivers message.

    Any Suggestions?

Btw, I'm having constant BSOD's on W8. I hope the Nvidia drivers help with this..

EDIT: I used the steps in post #2 from this thread: http://forum.notebookreview.com/alienware-m17x/700176-m17x-r1-cant-install-new-nvidia-drivers.html
Hope it helps with the constant freezes.

Edit 2: Didnt help with freezes.
